Well started slings, 3/4"-1"
This is my wife Kristin’s absolute favorite tarantula. Our first Suntiger came to us at around 2" DLS and it was already jet black with sharply contrasting bright orange striping. The feeding response is fast and aggressive. It still gives me jump scares when it launches out to grab prey. Venom potency is reportedly high for a New World species. When you combine that with its speed and hair trigger response to movement, this spider demands real respect. That said, it's totally worth it. Raising one from a sling is especially rewarding and gives newer keepers time to learn and adapt through experience before it gets larger and significantly faster.
Please research care before ordering.
