IMPORTANT: Two Different Shipping Categories
Spider People ships live animals and non-living merchandise. Shipping terms differ depending on what you order.
LIVE ANIMAL SHIPPING (Spiders & Other Invertebrates)
Shipping Schedule

Live animals ship once per week, on Wednesdays only

Wednesday shipments result in Thursday delivery

We do not ship live animals on any other day
Order Cutoff
-
Live animal orders must be placed by 4:00 PM PT on Tuesday

Orders placed after this cutoff will ship the following Wednesday

We require at least 24 hours to properly prepare and pack live animals
Shipping Method

All live animals ship FedEx Priority Overnight

Hub-to-hub pickup only

No residential or business door delivery

Flat-rate shipping: $50

Shipping is available within the United States only
Why Hub Pickup Is Required
Live animals are held in climate-controlled FedEx hub facilities.
Local delivery trucks are not climate controlled and may expose animals to excessive heat, cold, vibration, or delays.
Hub pickup minimizes stress during transit and is in the best interest of the animal.
Customers are responsible for picking up their package from their local FedEx hub once notified that it is available.
DOA (Dead on Arrival) Policy
Live arrival is guaranteed upon successful delivery to the FedEx hub.
Delivery is considered complete when the package is marked available for pickup by FedEx.
To qualify for DOA coverage:

Clear photos and/or video must be provided within 2 hours of hub delivery

The 2-hour window begins when the package is marked available at the hub, not when it is picked up
Example:
If your package becomes available at 9:00 AM, DOA coverage expires at 11:00 AM.
DOA claims submitted outside this window will not be honored.
Replacement or store credit is issued at our discretion.
Shipping fees are non-refundable.
Carrier Issues & Insurance
Live shipments are insured against carrier-related issues.
If a shipping problem occurs, contact spiderpeopleofficial@gmail.com as soon as possible so we can assist in determining the appropriate resolution.
Weather Holds

We reserve the right to delay shipping due to unsafe weather conditions

Heat packs, cold packs, and insulation are used as needed

Animal safety always takes priority over speed or convenience

Non-living items typically require 1–2 business days for handling

WRONG ADDRESS / FAILURE TO PICK UP

Customers are responsible for entering the correct shipping information

Failure to pick up a live animal from the hub may void DOA coverage

Live animals returned due to customer error are not eligible for refund
