When you combine that with its speed and hair trigger response to movement, this spider demands real respect. That said, it's totally worth it. The only time we saw extreme threat displays was during feeding, when a feeder wandered into its space while it wasn't ready to eat. In those moments, it would threat posture so hard it flipped onto its back and stayed there until we left the room. Clear communication. Point taken.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1427\"\u003eThis particular OBT is not the classic bright orange form, which we also keep and love. This is the dark color form, DCF, known as \u003cstrong data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1280\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"whitespace-normal\"\u003ePterinochilus murinus\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e “DCF” (Mikumi)\u003c\/strong\u003e, named for the region where it is found in the wild.
